OUR STORY
Unique jewellery handmade in London
Inspired by everyday life and the beauty of nature, Daisy Choi launched Day C jewellery in 2005. Today, her contemporary jewellery is still handmade in her Hatton Gardens studio in London’s jewellery quarter. Her “wearable art” jewellery, elegant, plafyful, and unique, helps to make every day a good day. In one customer’s words, her designs are “timeless, wearable and perfect”.
A passion for pearls
Working in precious materials, from pearls to rose gold, silver, jade, diamonds and semi-precious gems, Daisy likes to add non-precious materials to the mix - such as rubber and porcelain, giving her jewellery a contemporary edge. With a passion for pearls, Day C jewellery shines with Tahitian pearls, South Sea pearls and Akoya pearls. If you have something particular in mind, ask for the Day C jewellery bespoke service, and Daisy will source precious materials just for you.
Award-winning jewellery design
Day C jewellery has won many awards - including the gold award from Goldsmiths Craftsmanship & Design Award - and been showcased in Harrods, London, the Museum of Art and Design in New York, and SFMOMA in San Francisco, and featured in Elle magazine, UK and I Look magazine, China. But what inspires Daisy is bringing joy to her customers through her unique contemporary jewellery collection and bespoke jewellery designs.
About the maker
Daisy Choi grew up in Hong Kong, where she fell in love with pearls, jade, fashion and sculpture. As a teenager, she designed her own accessories. After studying graphic and product design, she became a successful design director, specialist in ceramics and 2D and 3D design. But she dreamed of London and launching her own brand. Moving to London in 2002, she completed a Master's at the University of the Arts, London, and took jewellery design studies and private classes from a master goldsmith. After being selected to display her jewellery at the prestigious Chelsea Craft Fair in 2005, she launched Day C jewellery - a dream come true.
Exhibitions
Our work has been exhibited and sold in select museum and gallery shops, major department stores, jewellery and design fairs in the UK and internationally. In 2006, the prestigious, London department store, Harrods, invited Daisy to create a first-of-its-kind, five-week "Jewellery Banquet" - a special, one-off, solo selling-exhibition.
